The challenge for our engineers was: to develop the lightest and most reliable F150 four-stroke outboard engine in the industry. To achieve this, they designed a 3.0 liter engine block that would be enough for an F250 or larger but actually only needs to deliver the performance of an F150. This increases the life expectancy of the engine significantly, which is why we also underline this with an unsurpassed factory guarantee of up to 5 years (if the factory specifications are complied with, with the exception of commercial use and racing)!

Perfect for Repower:

The compact and lightweight Mercury F150 can also be mounted on narrow boat transoms. After all, for trailerable boats, every kilo of weight saved is an advantage. The F150 is also very flexible, it can be equipped with both mechanical and hydraulic steering.

Don't get stressed:

Work less, do more! That sounds good, doesn't it? That's the key behind the F150. With the large displacement, this four-cylinder with an overhead camshaft has to put in less effort to produce its torque and horsepower.

Less time in the workshop:

The F150 is pleasant and easily accessible when basic maintenance is required. Add the clean oil change system, easy-access fuel filter and maintenance-free valve train and you have one of the easiest to maintain outboards on the market today.

Lightweight powerhouse:

Usually, the larger the displacement, the higher the weight. Not for the Mercury F150. It is the lightest in its class and therefore ideal for repowering and new boats.
